Scope
These terms and conditions are based on Nordic Freight Forwarders Association’s general provisions 2015.
Surcharges
The customer is liable to pay any additional cost regarding by diversions, change of route, or any damage that the package may have caused to other packages such as leakage of liquids, harmful odor, etc. All advance payments, additional fees, insurance must be paid by the customer.
In case of non-payment, we have the right to retention and lien. That is until the customer clears all pending payments that include any additional cost that may have arisen during the journey of shipment hence we will not be bound to deliver goods/packages. The same right can be exercised by the customer in case of loss or any damage to the package. As a result of large fluctuations in diesel prices, we charge a variable fuel surcharge on our fright rates.
Labeling of goods
We are not liable for any damage to the package where clear instructions were not mentioned on the package. All packages must be labeled clearly. It must contain the sender’s name, phone number, address. It should mention if there is any fragile object inside the package. The net weight of the package should also be mentioned. All this information shall be able to be read manually and electronically. The standard shipping labels size 102 mm x 192 mm to be readable.
